Genova, 23 October-2 November 2025
The Festival della Scienza (Science Festival) is one of the leading events dedicated to promoting scientific culture and has over time become an international point of reference in this field.
Every year between October and November, hundreds of scientists, researchers, communicators, artists and writers from all over the world meet in Genoa.
The festival’s extensive programme features talks, exhibitions, workshops, performances and special events designed for audiences of all ages and levels of knowledge.
Recent editions have attracted 200,000 visitors, including 25,000 students from across Italy.
Each edition is centred on a theme: a leitmotif that offers a clear and engaging perspective through which to explore and interpret the festival’s 300-plus events.
Started in 2003, the Festival della Scienza is organised by the homonymous association, whose founding members include the Municipality of Genoa and the Italian National Research Council, alongside major national scientific institutions, local public bodies and several regional companies.
On 26 October, Andrea Mati took part in the festival together with Professor Gianquinto of the University of Bologna to talk about Therapeutic Green Spaces.
