Once more, in 2024, the Mati company opened its doors to welcome speakers and the public to the annual National Conference on Therapeutic Green Spaces, now in its third edition, held on 29th and 30th November.
This conference of great cultural resonance is part of a series of meetings and events dedicated to the benefits of plants for the health of people and the planet organized over the years together with Accademia del Giardino, the educational agency of the MATI 1909 group, which conducts training and raises awareness on the themes of green culture and sustainability.
In line with previous editions’ themes, this edition saw the participation of experts, doctors and health workers who have recently experimented with therapies involving therapeutic green environments to increase people’s awareness of the benefits of such treatments. In Italy, this path is still in its infancy, representing a new frontier in moving toward a health system no longer based solely on chemical and pharmaceutical research, but one that places one of the primordial elements of what it means to be human at its core: our relationship with nature.
Our aim is to continue raising awareness on the increasingly pertinent theme of therapeutic green environments with a national and international scope, allowing teachers, doctors, experts and professionals to present and share their research focused on therapies involving green environments in treating neuropsychiatric, psychiatric, degenerative, mood-related and eating disorders as well as autism and neurodivergence. We have thus considerably expanded our themes and broadened our horizons beyond our own area of expertise, including professional experiences of great prestige also from abroad.
We would like to highlight the great success of this edition with the public, with a total attendance of the two-day event of almost 600 people: not only does this make us proud, it encourages us to continue along the path we have traced so far, with the goal of making us all the protagonists of a great and peaceful revolution: The “Green” Revolution.
