“Therapeutic Landscapes” Workshop, Confartigianato Treviso

As part of the project “Il verde che cura” (“Therapeutic landscapes”) conducted by the gardeners of Confartigianato Imprese Marca Trevigiana, two theorical and practical sessions were held on 31st March and 1st April, led by Andrea Mati. The initiative aims to create a therapeutic garden for the care of autism spectrum disorder in the Cistercian monastery of Saints Protasius and Gervasius in Vittorio Veneto.

“The project raises awareness among healthcare workers, in collaboration with the local health authority, on the beneficial effects of green spaces on the quality of life of people affected by several disorders.

The project was started with the goal of developing the skills of horticulture, gardening and landscape professionals to create green spaces that enrich the environment while playing a crucial role in promoting health and collective well-being.
As well as professionals in the field of maintenance, the initiative – supported by Volksbank and EBAV and carried out in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Vittorio Veneto – also involves architects and landscape designers from the Fondazione Architettura Treviso. An inclusive initiative that involves guests with disabilities of the Cooperativa Sociale Terra (Terra social cooperative) and conducted with the patronage of the Marca Trevigiana local health authority (ULSS 2) and the city of Vittorio Veneto.
The project “Il verde che cura” was born, in fact, with the aim of developing the skills of green professionals to create a space that not only enriches the environment, but also plays a crucial role in supporting health and benefiting the community.
The initiative, created thanks to the contribution of Volksbank and EBAV and in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Vittorio Veneto, involves not only maintenance professionals but also architects and landscapers of Fondazione Architettura Treviso. An inclusive initiative that involves disabled guests of the Cooperativa Sociale Terra. The company Ulss 2 Marca Trevigiana and the city of Vittorio Veneto have granted patronage.
